Guided by our values, focused on care

Serving more than 1.25 million people throughout our region, Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is committed to delivering exceptional care that is safe, compassionate and patient-centered. We are guided by our values of We Care for Everyone, We are Always Learning and We Strive for Better Results. These values shape how we listen, how we learn and how we continually improve care experiences across our health-care system.

This year’s Impact Report highlights some of the meaningful steps we are taking to help ensure our programs and services are accessible, responsive and reflective of our diverse patients and clients. From strengthening clinical practice and improving physical environments to advancing culturally safe, inclusive and equitable care, our teams are focused on quality patient experiences.

You will also read about how we are exploring ways to apply technology and innovation to support our work. Through expanded digital tools, better use of data and more modern care spaces, we are improving safety, access and coordination across the system, helping care teams work more effectively to support patients and families throughout their care journeys.

The stories shared in this report reflect the dedication and compassion of our staff, medical staff, volunteers and partners. Their leadership and commitment to excellence make this work possible, and we are deeply grateful for the care they provide to our communities every day.
