We are advancing Indigenous cultural safety by creating spaces that honour identity, ceremony and connection. These environments help ensure Indigenous patients, clients and families feel seen, welcomed and respected throughout their care journey.

House of Elders at Paul Myers Tower

The House of Elders is a dedicated cultural space designed to feel grounding, safe and familiar. It provides space for ceremony, prayer, smudging and quiet reflection, practices that are essential to healing for many Indigenous Peoples. Having a culturally meaningful space within Lions Gate Hospital allows patients and families to stay connected to culture and community during some of life’s most difficult moments.

By transforming the spaces where care happens, we are building a system rooted in relationships, belonging and community.
